Applying Philippians 1

  • Keep contact with other Christians and express my heart.
  • Write a letter
  • Paul is constanly talking about his prayer life. I would really like to improve in my prayer life. I dont think it is where it should be. I would also like to know how to pray for specific people.
  • Paul cares about them and influences them. I would like to find a young  person that I could be a mentor to. Someone they can look up to and trust.
  • Paul was just fine with being in jail so he could advance the kingdom. I think I would respond selfishly and be really mad and want out of jail. However, that is not how I should act. Next time God puts me in a hard situation I need to trust God and believe he has a plan for me, and still loves me.
  • Paul encourages the Philippians a lot. I love to encourage people, yet I could improve on my enouragement
  • Pauls prayer for the Philippians is that they will know the difference between pure and non pure. I can mainly tell the different. However sometimes I wrestle with my conscience and fall into temptation. I need to learn to not fall into the temptation.
  • Paul is a great example for every Christian. I think we should all strive to be more like Paul.
  • Paul is very respectful of the gaurds and wants them to be christians. Usually when I dont like people I really dont want to talk to them. However I should love them and want to share the gospel with them.
