- Paul has important reasons to write this not
- The people are very special and important to him
- Paul believes in a good and challenging prayer life
- He believes in the day of Jesus Christ and challenges them to be ready for it
- Paul battles with himself. He says he wants to die, but then live and help them, yet still wants to die. He is constantly batteling with himself over that situation
- Paul loves the poeple for who they are and wants to help them
- He believes that when Christ has preformed a good work in you, he will complete it
- He really cares for these people. You can tell because he is always praying for them, and looking out for their best intrests, not his.
- Paul is very thankful to help them
- Paul wants the Philippians to grow deeper and deeper in Jesus Christ
- He wants them to be able to determine what is pure and what isnt pure
- Paul really does understand that he is in jail for a good reason. God has a plan for him there
- People in the prison became Christians because of Paul's influence
- Paul was put in jail to defend the faith
- We should not be ashmed of the gospel. We need to embrace and share the gospel.
- For us to live IS Christ, and die IS gain. I think that is very true. When you are a Christian and you die, it is gain
- Paul feels like he wants to die and be with the Lord, and it would be a lot better. However, he knows he needs to stay on Earth and help advance the kingdom
- We need to act like Christians if we are. Do not be fake. I really annoys me when people say they are Christians and they act the complete opposite
- Paul understands their struggles because thats what position he used to be in
